passenger power seats
acura 01 cl type s I'm having problems with my power seat? Can anyone tell me do I need a new motor and the part number? When I move the seats forward or backward it make a noise tried greasing the tracks but still didnt work. Could it be the motor or something else? I have to push the seats to go back and forth when it stops

Since you say it's making noise, it seems the motor is still working. Maybe a cable has broken or a gear stripped? The motor is in front of the right side track. There's a cable that spans over to the left side which turns the gear for that track. Disconnect that and see if it's turning.
Go to http://acuraautomotiveparts.org . Put in yr/model/etc. Under components, select FRONT SEAT COMPONENTS (RIGHT) (POWER). You'll see the schematic and parts list. The motors and cables are sold seperately. If you can find and replace just the failing component, it should be a relatively cheap and easy fix.

You might want to pull the seat to get a better look at the tracks/etc...
Doesn't look that hard to do either... Pic for removal is here:
