painting door?

painting door?
last night i scratched my door on a cement pole. Basically i thought i could make it, but couldnt, and the door rubbed against the pole, scratching the paint in a few places on the door. The scratches are not deep, but the paint is gone in a few places. Any idea how much to get it repainted? and any suggestions in nyc where to go? And if i do will the paint match??? the #1 concern is of course when i get it repainted the door is going to be a little off due to the rest of the paint being 2 years old and faded a little.

I got a quote of $700 to get my san marino red passneger door redone. I've got a bunch of dents (5), and the paint is messed up like your's. Red is tough to match, and I've got dents too, so I would think your repaint should be less.
I've got to get a few more quotes in the spring before I get my door redone. Figure I might as well tough it out thru the winter in case someone smashes into me in the snow.

Just make sure that you have the panels next to it blended, its the best way to paint and no taping the moldings or door handle, have them removed, you don't want any paint lines or edges

At first I thought my $700 estimate was out of line, but they did say that the molding had to be removed, panels blended, etc. It made me feel like they knew what they were doing.
