PAA 30k Service (I'm forgettin' EVERYTHING today!)
Got up, got dressed, got all my stuff (cell phone, work bag, etc.) together at 5:30am and drove to Park AVe. Acura to drop off my car for warranty work and the 30k service.
I got a new TL for a loaner. Pretty nice, no navi though. I really couldn't tell if it was quieter or not, but the ride was more cushy probably 'cuz of the suspension and tires. I didn't realize how "normal" I drove until now, because the TL's 225hp was as sufficient as my CL-S (with headers and CAI) for most of my driving. It doesn't have the mid-range pickup though, 'cuz when I was accelerating to pass somebody, it had to kick down 2 gears instead of just the 1 i'm used to, and the "kick" isn't as strong when it accelerates after downshifting.
The suspension is definitely different though, but I have sways so it may not be that different from stock.
By the way, the service is a whopping $500-something. I brought my own mobile 1 and filter though, but it's probably still above $500.
But the thing that sucks though...after signing all the papers and stuff, I left my license there. And to top that off, Vinnie (from PAA) called me on my cell phone to let me know so I could turn around and pick it up. Stupid me forgot my cell phone in my room (after I unplugged the bloody thing from the charger and was ready to put it in my pocket this morning).
So I just got back to work, checked my cell messages and had 2 messages about my license.
Probably gonna pick up the car tomorrow or monday, depending on if they get the car to a body shop or not (has some welding that needs to be done under warranty).

PS…. Don’t tell anyone how dirty my car is sitting out in the lot right now.

I'm back for good from Brazil, but I don't know where Ill be next. I'm on the board for Pennsuco (near or in Miami), but still waiting for the word.
There is a bracket welded (or rivetted, I dont' remember) to the top of the inside of the trunk (above the Navi unit for those that have the navi). The bracket holds the tension rods for the trunk. Mine broke last year while I was in San Antonio, and I took it in last year before going to Brazil. They told me that I will need to reschedule 'cuz it needs to go to the body shop to be welded back on.
