soon ill try to track my old car down by the vin and see if i can whip her back in shape ... i planned turning some of those comp knock off hearers into true mids ... using burns collectors electric water pump dry sump oil pump ... minor head work ... bump compression ... convert to the RL mid section dual flow exhaust pipe and get that baby with 2 wheel drive by throwing a phantom grip in the open diff

Moes exact build.....

Rebuilt J32A2
02 MDX crank and rods
05 RL Pistons
Ported heads and intake

So, yes he is a J35 with 11:1 compression , don't let him try to fool you all.....

I won't say it's impossible, but to put a dry sump on the present configuration of the CL, FWD, will be a challenge. Do you think you can find your old car?, there so cheap now, just find a used one and start again.

Quick question-
I have a 3.2 NA CLS with most bolt-ons including the RT cat. I want to put on a mangaflow catback (ie resonator, mufflers and tips) but I am wondering about pipe diameter. In the past, most folks went with a 2.5 inch pipe into 2.25 piping at the Y muffler split. Then CLS6SpeedNupe went with a 3.0 inch into a 2.5inch with excellent gains on a 3.5 conversion. Does anyone see a problem with my running a 2.5 inch system from the Cat all the way back to the muffler tips?

well your RT is more than likely 2.25 and if you have headers that should be 2.5 so basically you are talking about 2.5-2.25-2.5 I say ditch the RT cat and get the 2.5 catback so your running 2.5 from the header to the mufflers.

rt cat w/ s/c = about 15hp loss. Did a dyno w/ and w/out it and I gained approximately 15 hp

Damn!
15hp loss at the wheel...that sux!
I realize that you were boosted at the time so perhaps I am not losing nearly as much HP, but even so I feel like a chump for buying the RT cat...how did I get sucked into the hype?
Sounds like I should just do what CLS6SpeedNupe suggests and get a mangaflow cat and run 2.5 piping all the way out the back. Thanks for the insight krisdlm

Don't feel too bad I bought one too, its not too bad for NA especially when you consider its similar to the stock cat if not better and the Comptech j-pipe outlet size on the collector is only 2.0" anyway.

I thought the size of the stock cat was 2.25 though? Is it 2.0?

I think its 2.25" on the outlet of the cat and 2.0" on the inlet, the gaskets are actually different sizes on both sides of the cat.

If you cant crack 13's next spring you should just sell the car j/k (kinda)

Nice numbers, those are great for a N/A V6 no matter what the mods.

Just posting a quick dyno update for this year before I install my new mods within the next weeks and dyno again to hopefully pick up a lot of usable power.

Nothing has changed since last dyno in november besides addition of a o2 extender to stop CELs for coming on, which oddly has caused the car to run a little leaner since install.

Quote: Just look for the two hoses coming off the Tstat housing under the TB that both go to the TB. The Tstat housing is what the upper radiator hose connects to on the engine block. The two hoses that connect to the TB are identical in size. When you pull them off you will know you have the right ones because a little green coolant will spill out. Don’t worry about the tiny spill. Be quick about it. Obviously if you spill a huge amount take the proper procedural precautions but you would have to be a retard to lose a ton of coolant. My Outlaw Engineering spacer kit came with a fitting to connect the two ends of hose from the Tstat housing if you didn’t want to use the TB spacer. If you don’t have access to one just get some more hose of the same size and connect the two nipples on the Tstat housing with the one hose or one of the OEM hoses if they are long enough. If you look at it you will understand. Call me if you don’t. Jim
damn, i need to do this..

this is great numbers, especially for NA..
nice work

I wonder what this exhaust sounded like, because the sizing looked perfect for a car with full bolt-ons

Man, I forgot how much of a douche Nupe was.

IIRC, he blew his engine and blamed Paul for it, even though the asshole didnt break the engine in properly. Wonder what happened to that car since he was banned from here and v 6 p??

Last I saw car was in the shop with no motor. I bought the exhaust but it was ridiculously loud and raspy. I added a vibrant ultra quiet resonator and an exoticspeed 18 inch resonator and it toned it down. The video is posted on here somewhere with XS headers and a HFC. I'm missing my Acura...
