Outhandle an IS300
Hello,
I am new to this board and love what you people have to say. I was just wondering what we would have to do to our cars in order to outhandle an IS300? I have raced a few before and you know as well as I know that they are no match for the mighty CL-S in the straights. But my cars handling ability handles like a b!tch! Those dang tires screech around almost every corner that I take to aggressivly. I just want a good all around balanced car. I think handling should be included in the balance. I also want to see the eyes of those IS boys when I out corner them too =)

Hate to admit it, but if both cars kept adding the same stuff, the IS300 would beat the CL-S in the turns.
OTH -- if your willing to drop the CL-S way down, put on the stickiest tires you can fit (235s on 17"/18"), put on coil-overs, and sways, and brakes, you will beat most.
If you looking to beat the out-of-the box IS300, just getting some new rubber will do wonders in a tight twisty section of road. I used to despise those stock tires on my favorite twisties with smooth pavement.
BTW -- If you looking for more balance, think about removing the passenger seat, and adding a Carbon/Kevlar hood, etc.

I don't know what it would take to "outhandle" an IS300 (nor do I really care), BUT, I can tell you that if you put on new rubber, and Comptech springs and sways you'll forget the IS300 even exists
