well got it installed today for 85 dollars at my mechanic and guess what else he found..... busted motor mounts and he said it would be 475 dollars to do the side and front I told him I can do the side one myself. It would cost around 300 dollars for parts and labor for a front motor mount is there a cheap motor mount that I can get that is less than 130 dollars which is what he charged me?

thanks man do you think if front and right motor mount need replacing that my left motor mount would need to be replaced? Also are these the best prices that you could fine?

Those are the prices from the Honda dealer I get all my parts from. Just do a google search for the part numbers, you may be able to find them cheaper.

I doubt the two tranny mounts would be toast, I dont think that are filled with any liquid, but those are cheap if they do need replacing.

Got mine in today! Going to take it to the hobby shop ( rentable garage space for the military) and try installing it myself, if i can't break the nut my mechanic is going to be receiving more of my money.

I think someone make a poly mount for our engin if im not mistaken.
The engine and tranny mounts are know to go in our cars. My engine mont went at 100k and tranny mount broke 3 times all-ready, and you really cant notice the tranny mount being broken unless u put it on a lift.
I dont know about the 6 speeds but auto tranny mounts are week also.
I would check on polyurethane engin mounts and put those on and NEVER have to worry about it again!

Stoned:

You talking about the DIY poly mounts or the Innovative mounts?

I recommend doing the DIY poly mounts. The Innovative mounts have plenty of problems, more then the OEM mounts.

The tranny mounts are located on the subframe right below the tranny. You need to look at them from underneath the car. Easy to spot.

Normal driving NUTTIN different WOT (wide open throttle) you do feel the RPM's clime quicker. 7-10 HP is not much of a difference. I think I am doing a little better on gas milage.. It could be my imagination!

k so I'm just gonna buy the biggest baddest impact Gun I can get my hands on so I never have to have this stupid tq issue again. Question for you guys... think this MAC will work? I tried a gun with around 500ft/lbs and did JACK shyt.

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-s...AdIdZ120387983

it's got 1000ft/lbs of tq

If so i'm buying it tonight, or tomorrow when buddy responds.

Thanks!

Yes! I absolutely love my car now. Im running 80A, which is noticable firmer. If you want comfort Id suggest going with 60A.

CL-S

I'd go with a 3/4" impact gun, not a 1/2". Also, the size of your air hose has an effect on the air pressure at the gun. I like MAC tools, but I find them to be a bit overpriced.

So you have done this mod? Since my mounts are bad do you have to like cut of the old rubber for the side one and for the front Im not exactly sure how to do that one. I found the DIY for this but it wasnt very descriptive

k well i'm buying it regardless, cause it's the only thing with 1000 tq for the price and this thing is barely used... I got an industrial air compressor at a family shop of mine as well, and it's got a 1/2 inch hose.

Why go 3/4" drive??? what's the difference? Less likelyhood of snapping a socket?

This will SLAP off that crank pully bolt for sure though right?

more torque heavier duty I had a 1/2" impact wrench at 700 torque and it didn't get it off

so what are you saying 1000ft/lbs of tq on a 1/2" isn't gonna cut the cheese?

did you have an industrial compressor and a 1/2 inch hose?

Or should I really be going for something more like this one on ebay?

A industrail compressor really wont make a difference as long as it puts out 90psi which most do then your good the hose will help but idk when I put my impact wrench on the bolt it didnt even have enough torque to turn the pulley with no one holding it and that was 700

most impact wrenches only take up to 90psi

I sent you a PM.

My 1/2" drive Craftsmen couldnt break the bolt lose. I forget what model but IIRC it puts out 6-700tq. The starter puts out more TQ though

GATES Part # K060461 K06 13/16" x 46 5/8" Micro-V AT Premium OE V-Ribbed Belt

The lengths seem to be different....Anyone know which ones are correct?

The lengths are different because the underdrive pulley requires a shorter belt. If you put in the car info, its going to tell you the correct belts are incorrect.

These are 100% correct for the pulley. I just bought them for my upcoming 105K mile service.
