Also, they could use four O2 sensors in this system (two before cat and two after). This would make it possible for the cat to phuck it up...

says "hello to my TLX".
^okay. that's good that you got that code read. i thought you were rolling around with your car throwing codes and you were clueless and sure it was the lack of the catalytic converter.

The "redline" starts at like 6800, but we've got untill 7200... It takes some time to be able to consistantly wind it all the way out to 7200...
Looks like artbran has the shifting on the CLS 6spd down... it does take a little getting used to...

The CL-P says it relines at 6250, I can shift slight of 6700 (in the red mind you) after that the fuel cut off turns on.
The CL-S redlines at 6900 rpms...fuel cutoff is just a lil north of 7k.
EDIT: Greenie, your saying 6800 RPMs. How come every where else is saying 6900 RPMs for redline?

P0420 is the code if i remember correctly and that is: Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (bank1).
If you put a resistor in the line to the second O2 Sensor, wouldn't that give the computer a better reading? I know that the O2 sensor gives a signal based on how open it is. Maybe putting a resistor on the first one may work better... That way the computer thinks that the cat is giving a good reading and corrects the A/F mixture. I don't know...
