OnStar worth renewing?
Anyone with OnStar renew their subscription after the first year?
I'm about 8 months into it...only used the Remote Door Unlock feature twice, once when i needed it, and once cause i just felt like it.
The other features are nice to haves, but is it worth $200 or so for the year?

I kept mine. I was driving home from work. some fat bitch didn't yield and I had the right of way (green) so I hit her....glad I'm getting paid!!! but anyway, used onstar because I didn't have my cell on me and she didn't have one. She ask "Do you need me to call the police or ambulance?" I replied "Bitch, I've got the police on the way already!" I also had Onstar call my wife to come pick me up since I had front end damage. Whether you need it or not, it's case by case. It's only $16 bucks a month...People spend that like air.

If you’re going with OnStar for the theft recovery system, save your money.
I’ve read on other Forums that unless the guy that steals your car is an idiot, the system can be easily disabled.
In some cars it’s as easy as pulling a fuse or cutting a single wire.
Then OnStar and the police have no way of locating the car.

I think it's worth it for my needs; hands free phone, traffic info, emergency services... I use them regularly. Most of the time, OnStar works well, but the few times it didn't, I got lots of extra personal calling minutes.

Where is my super sauce?
I like the hands free phone.
It's definitely overpriced, but I still get it. I just write it off as a business expense like other cellular communication, as that's what I use it for anyhow.
