ok my friends keep wanting to race me. i wanna race them but im pretty sure i'd lose. and we can never get the situation right, but it will happen eventually. ok here's the match-up, i know im severly lacking here with mine but here goes......

ME - 2001 CL Type S, no mods, all stock.

Friend 1 - 2000 Porsche Boxter, no mods, not the S package, auto

Friend 2 - E36 BMW M3 w/ CAI and a coupla ECU's (dont ask me any specifics on it), stick, but he's not the greatest shifter ever.

lets say we all are average drivers, i say the boxter would own me and the M3 would own the boxter, BUT carstats.com has a 03 CLS auto at 6.5 0-60 and 14.9 1/4 mile and a 00 Box at 6.5 0-60 and 15 1/4 mile, now this seems perplexing. can someone tell me what to expect when i race these guys? i keep tellin them my ass would get handed to me on a silver platter but these numbers are kinda confusing me.

You're 16. Please tell me your M3 and Porsche Boxster driving friends are not 16 as well.

Base Boxsters are not that fast, you should win. The M3 should beat you A modded 5sp M3 should compensate your friends lack of driving skills.

Well, if your a mag racer and that M3 is an 01' or higher AND his engine doesn't explode he should rape you. You should be able to run the boxter though I've beaten them before (not boxter S's)
If your M3 buddy really fucks up you technically could beat him but that's all the driver and not the car hehhehhehe.


I say the boxter -vs- you should be a better race.

E36 Ernie, not E46.

E36 with mods and only an average driver. Even if the mods and the driver cancel out, pretend it's a stock E36 M3 - that car will still beat us.

The Boxter non-S auto is weak. I don't see that as being as much competition as the E36 M3

I still havent raced any of my friends yet but i know i will, theres this 1/4 straight away by all these office biuldings right by my house where you cant get caught, thats where i always used to race in my parents cars. i love racing but hate the feeling of being caught.

they are 16 also. it's their parents' car but they get to drive em on weekends every now and then. they normally drive a 99 BMW 323 5mt and a 98 Lexus ES300. i've said before that i go to a prep school.

anyways, yeah i didnt know i'd be able to keep up w/ the porsche. we'll have to see. when infact this does go down, ill give you the low down.
