oiling foam Comptech Icebox filter

I just made the switch from the AEM to the CT icebox yesterday .. that foam filter does NOT come pre-oiled, correct? How much oil are we supposed to use on it? That whole little can? I just gave it a few sprays, some areas got more than others .. will it be alright?

If you read the instructions, they suggest using the whole little can.

Spray it over several coats, waiting a minute or two between each coat. I also massage the filter to work the oil deep into the foam. Don't forget to spray both the inside and outside. I only do one quick spray on the inside as I cannot massage it in from there.

If you follow the directions you'll have a nicely moistened filter that has full thickness oiling without being overly wet. Remember your oiling goal -- don't over-saturate or under-oil the filter.

Did anyone else spend like 15 minutes trying to get the bottom screw for the icebox lid to line up? for some reason I couldn't get the damn screw to thread.
