Oil change for 01 CL-S

My brother has a 01 CL Type S and we need to know how much oil it takes? When he bought the car it didn't come with a drivers manual and we called an Acura dealership and spoke to people from the service center and they also did not know. Weird Thanks

I'm an idiot.. I just bought a gallon of Mobil-1 Syn 5W-30 at KMart but only then realized that it takes almost five quarts.. Guess I need the big one-gallon jug and a single quart..

.25 quarts over= ok

1 quart over= bad very bad

it is worse on your motor to have too much oil than not having enough.

1 quart maybe yes.
but 0.4qt over 4.6qt is also OK, I can assure you. Engines desiged to operate with more oil that manual says. they provide a safety net of +/- 0.5qt.
Engineers design engines to be tolerant to a slight variations in the oil level.
Thats why an oil stick has min/max marks... and even max is not a true max.

my oil is onlu 1/8" over the max, i've done this many times on my older cars, they never had any engine problems.
you are too paranoid about being 100% precise.

Look I'm really not trying to be mean although this may come off as just that but if you cant find the oil drain plug you should consider having someone else change your oil
