oil analysis results after 10k miles

The below oil results are from my cars 33k mile and 51k mile mark,, results show that the oil is still USEABLE after 9800 miles,, I use Amsoil 0w30 and change the filter every 5k miles (oversize sdf44),, my goal is to prove that Amsoil can last 10k miles,, seems to work so far,, the simplist data point below is the TBN number is 6.4,, new petro oil is 7 to 9,,, soooooo after almost 10k my oil is almost like new petro oil,, most of my 90 mile daily commute is Highway 65-80 mph...

This is all good, but you also stated that you were changing your filter every 5K miles, which IMO is the most important part of the oil system. If im going to take the time to change the filter im just going to do the whole thing, that way I don't have to worry about it.

Fender4's numbers are showing that with synthetic you don't
have to worry about it.

Yes but maybe not by much,, you can easily go 7-10 k on true synthetic,,, I had to prove to myself slowly over many years,,, I always changed at 3k until I found Amsoil and all the tests that they do,,, I then mixed a qt in and changed at 3k still?? ...then on the cl-s, desided to change to 100% amsoil and changed it at 5k,, until the 23k,, then went 10k on one filter,, thats the 33k results above,,, because of the higher than normal iron I went to a oversize filter, changed it at 5k marks,, iron levels are down and everything is normal,,, If send your oil to the lab it will convince you that your car can go a long time on synthetic oil,,, Mobil1 is also good but I went with Amsoil because at the time they were the only ones promoting extended drain intervals,, now Redline also promotes extended drain intervals..

yea, the way the oil technology has advanced lately changing your oil as often as is "recommended" is not as necessary

just my personal opinion
