Looks like the engine of a Lamborghini Diablo

I remember seeing a cutaway view of a Diablo on Lamborghini's website (since taken down, after Lamborghini was purchased by Volkswagon), that showed all the insides of the car. Everything from the cockpit on back is all engine! It's just sick, in a good way

Knicks suck... and Sprewell just keeps crying about it... you'd almost think he'd choke someone again. Same goes for the Jazz, Yay, they gone!

finally someone else see's the madness. That thing has got to be absolutely wicked as fuck! twin turbos? although they do look small in the bay, actually are pretty big. And those nitrous lines look like they bring some damage

You bastard.

I was pissed the Jazz lost...

They are my second fav team after the Lakers. They should've won the championship against the Bulls 4 years ago... Fucking ref didn't count it as a 3 ptr.

You guys also missed the compressed liquid-to-air intercoolers sitting between the turbos and the intake plenum.

This thing is beginning to look more scary than fun, IMHO. What's next, JATO rockets?

A little off topic, but have you guys seend the new Hennesey 800 Twin Turbo Viper in Motor Trend. They say it is the worlds fastest production car at 0-60 in 2.4 and quarter mile in 9.99. That is sick!!!

I remember reading a R&T article ~10 years back about the Norwood Testarossa, which used similar compressed liquid-to-air intercoolers that lowered the intake charge by over 200-degrees-Farenheit (!) which allowed them to run 25lbs of boost on regular unleaded (!!). Running premium, it produced over 1000hp @ the wheels (!!!). Anyways, it was totally undriveable even w/Ferrari's race-derived suspension, Norwood himself describing how it would lift on one wheel (!!!!) and gyrate uncontrollably simply because the drivetrain and transmission just couldn't deal with the instaneous torque. Lag had to dialed in to tame the thing, and top speed was estimated at 240mph, tires being the limiting factor.

Again, there is such a thing as too much power.

Pics I've seen of the Diablo show it having straighter edges in the engine compartment but it must be the angle of the shots playing visual tricks. Here's a pic off Carpoint of the stock engine just to show how much work went into the one you posted:
