I think I'm gonna trade up...

A worthy successor to the elegant and powerful Bugattis of the past, the Veyron 16·4 is powered by a 1001-horsepower W16 quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter engine with all-wheel drive. Bugatti claims this new super car will reach a speed of 252 mph. Acceleration is also impressive–the Veyron can reach 180 mph in just 14 seconds!

Yeah shouldn't it be aroung 2000 HP with all those cylinders and turbos??

lamborghini murcielago only has 571 crank hp. I'm guessing the difference is these things are able to pull all the wasy to 250 mph whereas alot of those high hp supra tuner cars are geared way lower.

It's 8 liters (530 cubic inches), 1k hp, 890tq from the equivalent of 2 265 cubic inch v8's. It's got a safe tune to it. That's pretty respectable I'd say. 2hp per cubic inch.

If you don't have respect for that then you're just being stupid.
