Ogolden1: Jet Chip PCM Upgrade

How much did you pay?
How do you know the HP gains?

Did you ever dyno you car before and after the upgrade?

Did you ever went to a race track before and after the upgrde?

Thanks.

It costs $299.95 + tax.(If you're out of the area, overnight return is included) I paid $245 cash thru St. Andres (local) and picked it up! I did have to go to Jet to have them "tweek" the setting higher a week later, as at first I didn't feel much difference! I R&R'd it in there parking lot, they took it upstairs, reprogrammed it, and what a difference it made!!!

No "formal" dyno, however, "Butt-Dyno" says MAJOR difference in "pulling power" thru the entire range... It hauled ASS in comparison! I raced a Headered and CAI'd CLS, and only lost by 1 car length to 80 MPH!
Sure, it would have been more in the 1/4, but, how often do YOU street race from a stop light, and do MORE than 80???

I raced a new Lexus 430sc and beat it to 75 mph...I've raced a lot of modded cars and beat them (except GT's and Z28's) I raced a tricked out late model "Z" car last week, and beat him from light to light!

Bottomline - it's THE BEST bang-for-buck for actual "felt" acceleration improvement in "seat-of-the-pants" everyday driving!

Show me the Dynos! The V6 Accord member that had i/h/e and dyno'd his car with and without the Jet ECU gained hp AFTER the chip was removed.

Its not worth the risk if you don't live near Jet where you can simply drive in and have them tweak it. I'd pony up and go with the Unichip were your chip is DYNO-TUNED specifically for your cars mods. None of the guessing game stuff that Jet is pulling. The problem with the Unichip is that it isn't widely available.

I wouldn't add any modification unless proof
by dyno or G-Tech! Please provide real world
proof or it just isn't valid mod! Will be beginning to design and install my own CAI today and will provide before and after times! Be patient as this will take some time to install. I'm hoping design will net more hp.than AEM! So bottom line I guess there isn't anyone out there that has realized an improvement with Jet-chip? Anyone?

Actually, I beg to differ. The best bang for the buck IMO would have to be NOS.
