Octane booster?

Jus wanted to kno what my fellow ack owners think about using octane booster in a tank of gas? In my previous vehicles I used this type of product, but after i used it the engine seemed to run a bit ruffer than normal. What is your thought on this product, is it needed @ has anyone ever used this??

One of my local guys put a gallon or so of race fuel (higher octane) into their system and they said it was a waste of 8 dollars per gallon.

Its like using 91 in a car that only needs 87. No noticable difference will be felt.
Note that this is totally different from a car that needs 91 (like ours) and using 87.

Ok thats what I thought so ur sayin since the car already calls for high octane fuel the use of this product is not needed cuz the high octane already keeps the crud out of the engine.

only if your engine is tuned for higher octane then it would be good.. use premium gas and that should be good enough. Save up for a nos kit and that will yield better gains.

Octane has nothing to do with the amount of cleaning agent the gasoline has. Octane determines when/how the gasoline ignites. We need a higher octane fuel because of our higher compression engines.

An octane booster will not clean your engine very much. If you must, then use something like seafoam, BK44/BG44 or techron. Those are the most effective fuel system cleaners.

If you're running high boost, then you might need an octane booster, but on a stock engine it's a waste of money...

Only people who I know that use octane boosters or race gas use it on the track...
