Obliterated a 911 Carrerra upto 150mph!

Man... this race was crazy. I was heading home cuz my realtor was coming and was driving quite slowly. This 911 Carrerra (brand new) came flying and nearly rear-ended me. The road was very open but there were cars next to me... so I opened her up and the Carrerra followed me. I was going about 70mph and so shifted into 3rd. I took the guy by about 7 car lengths into the end of 5th gear when I realized I might be going pretty fast... so I let off and look at my speedo - I was just dropping below 150!! I have no idea how fast I was, but I am sure I hit 150. I think 6th can go to 165-170mph - I didn't hit any sort of speed limiter

Anyways... the guy was frothing mad I guess... he wanted to race again but I did not - it seemed he was either cursing himself or his car

There's no decent track close to where I live. LACR (Palmdale) is like at 2000 feet, Carlsbad (San Diego) is now closed, Pomona (awesome track) is never really open for drags... and that's it!! Sears Point and Las Vegas are too far!

well i guess times arent really important, just know that you beat a Ferrari, several porches, and a TT 350Z... none of which are slow cars... if i had your car i would develope a brain tumor from my massive ego.

yea, I hate that pomona no longer offers street legals. YOu can go out to CA speedway now though, but that's a hike

You need to come down from your mountains and get to the sea level track

Good but you nuts going at that speed

Even a time at Palmdale would be cool....at least if you hit 12s.......you know youre in the 11s maybe....and they wont immediately kick u off the track....

I wouldn't mind running at Palmdale and possibly trying to hit a low 13 or even a 12 there... but I don't want to be explaining the altitude and all that jazz to the non-believers!!

I probably pushed it a little too much today going that fast, but the road was empty and was straight - however I probably won't do it again anytime soon!

That said... the CL-S is fantastically smooth at those speeds. Less wind noise than my NSX!

I had the NSX... for 3 years - sold it before getting the CL-S. It was a hard-top with I/H/E wheels etc.

That's pretty wild. Spanking a Carrerra at 150 must feel pretty damn good. You've got to be making a pretty good name for yourself down there.

You're probably going to get a call from the Porsche dealer telling you to stop picking on their customers

Nice kill AM, that's pretty insane. As are all your kills of course.

-Just curious, what color is your car, I've seen vids of Blue's car, so that much I know. And what part of socal are you located in? I wanna keep a lookout for your car and hopefully by chance catch you destroying somethin' else ridiculous.
