O-Z Antares ... ready to buy. Opinions please!

Just got a quote for the Antares - 18"/48 offset + Falkon 225/40/18 FK451's for my CL-P.

I am trying to decide between the Falkons and the Yokohama AVS dB.

Total Shipped, Mounted, Balanced = $1950

I was really interested in the Opera's ... but unfortunately they wont fit our car :-(

I'm really tempted.

their sweet looking... and their a good choice for 18" since that style will look larger then they actually are.

As for the tires... it comes down to price... Falkens are extremely cheaper then Yokos.

Go with the Yokos if you can afford it.

me too, tirerack only has em in 17x7's @ 269 a piece.

I called this guy Phil at http://www.wheelspecialists.com/
He researched the Opera I's, the Opera Modulars, the O-Z Antares, & the Zenetti Mystiks (thanks soopa ) for me

He said that the Opera's will stick out and so he wouldnt reccommend those. The Zenetti's I dont remember if he said they wont fit or if they dont carry them any more ...

He highly reccommended the Antares. If more of you (even one or two) are interested I am sure I can talk him into a better deal!

I dont know any facts on the Anteres... but OZ tends to make wheels on the heayy side... I would guess that the anteres in 18x8 would be like 25lbs each.

But who cares. Their pimp.

But yea... GO CHROME. Might add a couple hundred to the final price... so go for the Falkens instead of the Yokos to make up the difference.

Nobody but the freaks on here care about your tires... everyone will drool over some drippy chrome

I looked up those Yoko's on TireRack and they were listed at $156 a piece. The Falkons according to this guy if i bought em from him separately are at $147 a piece

He said he bundled the wheels and the tires and so I dunno how much I'd loose if i bought the wheels from him and then went and bought the tires from tirerack.

I really loved the reviews for those Yoko's on Tirerack! Incredible price too

I had falcons at one point and I really liked them. They lasted quite a while, handled well...looked great too. I certianly wouldn't frown upon them. Go with the CHROME for sure. I'd love to see pics of them on the car. Keep us posted.

I guess I'm ALONE, and I hate to be the Spirit of Contradiction, but I must say:

I NOT like!

Don't like the way the spokes go toward the outer rim and then turn into ... little SHOVELS!! Ughhh.

Just my humble opinion and I would not fault anyone for liking them themselves. I guess this is why there are MANY wheel options -- at least one for EVERY taste!

I like those too, just cuz they are simple. I hate busy wheels. but personally I cant seem to like the thin (split) spoke design as much as the solid plain spoke. does that make sense?
