Nos 3.0 vs WRX (raised boost)

What up fellas. I haven't posted any of my runs in awhile, usually post them in 1st Gen. But this one I just had to post.

Well for those of you that dont know, i'm running a 125 shot wet kit. Anyways, this wrx had a straight pipe and running at higher boost (didnt tell me how much). Well the night started off with my friends and I looking for someone to run. As we were cruising in our cars, they spotted a nice WRX with some rims. So I slow down and get right next to him. He never looked at me at this point, and just guns it at a cruising speed of about 25-30mph. So he takes the lead, and I floor it as well. I catch up to him with ease, and at this point he must be thinking wtf, right?! So we continued to cruise down the road for about 1/2 min, and then he takes off again. I go right after him, passing him up. He signals me to take a right to a street that goes straight for days. We cruise again a lil slower than usuall looking for a red light. Finally, we get one. I'm nervous as hell, causeI know I'm just gonna spin my tires (shitty tires) all through first as usual, and know he's gonna take the launch with his AWD. So I sit there, sweating in the hands, trying to anticipate that green light. Finally, the light goes green, and I take him off the luanch, but as I predicted, my tires just were just spinning. My car goes a bit to the right, and he takes the lead by about 1/2 car immedietly. My tires finally start to grip at th beginning of 2nd, and I literally just catch up to him and past him by before the end of 2nd gear. I'm now in the lead by about a car, and my rpms are at 6500 on my tach (keep in mind they are off, wasnt looking at my vafc2 to see exact rpm), and by this point I'm getting nervous cause I thought the car wasnt going to shift. I dont know why, but when I saw that needle at redline for too long, I just got scared and let go of the gas, and then, BAAH! I back fired! I was scared shitless. (all this happened in a matter of seconds, seems like a longer race than it really was). At first I had thought I blew my motor. But nevertheless, I won. He rolled up next to me and game me a thumbs up with a smile. Even though we only ran to about 60-65mph (or whatever the end of 2nd takes you to), it was still a nervous run for me. That was my frist real run with my nos kit. After that we just ran again for fun, and I won every time

yes, 255 fuel pump, zex spark plugs, run it on 100 octane only....our ecu retard themselves accordingly (assuming that is why we dont need/have an adjustable distributor)
