I just called around today to get ahold of GM Sychromesh FM to do my drain and fill. Originally picked up GM Synchromesh from the Davis Chevy/GM dealer, and they only had the regular stuff P/N 12345349. The one you want and should buy is actually P/N 12377916. Don't get the wrong one, it'll make no difference. You need the Friction Modified stuff. If you plan to pick some up, give the Woodland Cadillac a call. Their number is (530) 402-4420.

I just did a fill with the new Honda synchromesh stuff. I run redline in the S2000, which is a bear when it's cold - but holds high temp well. I like the Honda formula just fine, but I had no complaints about the stock fluid either, really.

So question to all you 6MT'ers. What do I use, the GM Synchromesh with FM or the Honda reformulated MTF fluid?

Either or, I am currently running GM syncromesh, but I was to try the "new" Honda MTF fluid here soon. If you already bought the GM stuff, go ahead with it, if not I have heard good things about the Honda fluid.
