Normal CL

What does it take for me to make my cl as fast as a type-s.
Cheapest and most reliability preferably.

Thank you,

Mark Larson

Matt

Thanks for the help but i wanna hear it from an actual CL owner.

Here this is my dilema.

My ma has a 01 Lease coming up soon and i could get it or i could get a WRX Subaru i could get a VW GTI.

Performance wise the WRX but its to crude kinda ugly but it does grow on you.

Then next GTI more performance than CL but more refined than WRX.

Then CL but prettiest most refined lowest performance.

How fast is the fastest CL. (Top speed, 0-60, Quarter)

Don't want to piss anyone off but i have a problem three awesome cars and one dumb kid.

Thank You

Mark

Mark, if you wanna blow $30k on a car you gotta ask yourself this. What matters most to you? Looks? Performance? Luxury? etc...

Performance: Buy a Civic SI, and throw in $20k of mods and you have one hella fast car.

Luxury: Hands down CL!

As for fastest CL, hmm... that's tough... Depends on how much money you wanna throw at it. Give anyone enough money, and you can make the CL a 13 second car. 3.5 conversion, Level 10 tranny, NOS, supercharger, etc. Stock CL (non S) runs about a mid 15 I think.

If you want official HP/torque specs, look at edmunds.com.

Good luck with your decision.

A 55-shot in my 3.0CL yields 14.75 1/4 mile ET!

Nitrous is a pretty inexpensive (but short duration) mod.

i'd go w/ new. you can make the sooby really fast.

if you get the cl, put the comptech supercharger on it. that should more than make up for the fact it's not a type s.

Laser1180 has a CL-P with AEM pulleys, intake and Iridium plugs. He ran 14.7 (what he told me).
