noob question:01-02 cl vs cl-s
ok i did a search and maybe im putting the wrong criteria in but this is my question.
i have been with the honda family for a while, (civic, accord, civic, integra) and looking into getting a 01-02 cl now. But I have a few questions on the differences between the base model and the Type-S.
These are the specific questions actually:
1) What are the exterior differences between the 2?
2) The interior differences?
3) Engine changes to the CL-S?
4) Suspension changes to the CL-S?
5) Differences in insurance rates between the 2?
I have been doing a fair amount of research but I want to be sure the information I am getting is correct (ie different intake manifold, 16" vs 17" stock rims, navigation is optional, tranny issues)
Any help is greatly appreciatted as well as links to former threads that may have answered these questions already. Thank you for your time

there is 35 horsepower between the two. same engine, but the type-s uses something called the holmholz prinicple which differenciates the intakes. "sport-tuned suspension" among other things and the interiors are identical save perforated leather and the fancy type-s shift knob. hope it helps.

1. Type S had 17" rims
2. Type S has perforated leather and unique shift knob
3. Type S has 260 horsepower
4. Type S has Vehicle Stability Assist
5. Type S has larger anti-sway bars
6. Type S has stiffer springs
7. Type S has unique seats with substantially more bolstering
8. Type S has white face guages
9. Type S offers a six speed manual in conjuntion with an LSD
~The Navigation System, however, is availible on both models~
