Noise in shifter area when brake is engaged in park
Can someone tell me if this is normal or not?
When the car is sitting in park, I get a pop/click noise that comes from the shifter area when I put my foot on the brake. If I put my hand flush with the plastic at the base of the shifter, I can actually feel it pop. I'm guessing the noise is related to the lock mechanism that is disengaged when you press the brake in park (thus letting you shift out of park)...
I'm not sure if this has been there the whole time or not. Although, it doesn't seem good to me that I can actually feel a vibration in the plastic associated with this noise... Does anyone else have this happening?

Yeah, it's normal. My CL-S does this too. As you said, it's the clicking from the lock-out mechanism releasing so that you can shift into gear only with the brake fully engaged.
