NEWS: Street racing fatality involving a CL
I caught a glimpse of this on the news today, and all I could make out was the dark blue C-pillar, which was unmistakeably a 2nd gen CL. (Being the car nut that I am, I can assure you that I'm almost never wrong about a car ID.)
http://www.upn13.com/themes/default/...tent_id=382687
http://www.fox11la.com/stories/headlines/010425/8.asp
(Note that Fox identified the car as an Acura, yet mis-identified it as an Accord.)
I'll hold the hope that it's none of you, although by the utter worship of street racing and "kills" that some here espouse, I wouldn't be too shocked if it was.
I think the story and issues are self-explanatory. I hope some of you will get the point before your hubris catches up to you/your friends/us/our friends/our families.

I saw the same story. The dark blue car that ate the phone pole looked like a 3rd generation Integra.

If you want to race.....feel free. But at least be considerate that you have a passenger in the car. If you want to kill yourself, fine. But don't do stupid shit when you have a passenger in the car.
Why do you think most race strips don't allow a passenger when you are racing.....

Oops. So much for my infallible car-ID-ability. ![](http://www.acura-cl.com/ubb/tongue.gif)
But the point remains the same, and it's a relief as many of you feel the same way.

No biggie on the ID of the car. One thing though, they didn't make blue CLs until very recently

Of course you guys realize that it could have just as easily been some kid standing on the sidewalk that was wiped out. You don't have to be in the car, or even in the race to be killed by some street racing jackass.
