Newest C&D mag has some great letters and articles!
Go pick up or borrow a copy.
Comments on the issue:
The one thing I don't get is just how many cars in their supercar challenge posted atrocious 13.x quarter-mile times. We're talking 500+hp Corvettes and the like. :shakehd: Unbelievable. If I remember correctly, Magnetic1, a resident Corvette owner here with a few simple bolt-on mods posted a best quarter time of 12.4@116.
Also, regarding a letter in their letters section:
Someone wrote in to say that the supercharger whine on the new Mustang Cobra isn't as annoying as C&D made it out to be in their review, however after watching several dragstrip videos of them and the Lightning I have to say I would never ever ever buy one of those things as the whine is almost unbelievably loud and obnoxious.

That always happens to me, i just got both yesterday. My Motor Trend always comes much earlier.

I always get my C&D and R&T the same day, but very late too. NOT this time, I got mine on Mon.
Anyway another great "letter" was this:
"Q: What do you call three Pontiac Aztecs on a dealer lot?
A: A lifetime supply"

check out moter trend guys, has the 350z on the cover and a story about mario andretti test driving 4 of the phattest convertibles on the market. The SL55Amg, the aston maritin db7, the Z8,and the ferrari 360 modena spider. I mean can u ask for a more exciting test drive. the mag also has a comparison between the 2003 accord and camry so if any of u are in the market for the ugly ass acord, cause that what it has a Fat UGLY ASS> YUCK YUCK YUCK, great mag though, cant wait to see my 1st Z on the road.

Yea.. those car mags have weird tests... It could also be because of varying conditions as well as tires used, driver, etc...
I do run 12.4 @ 116 MPH.. on bolt ons... ie. exhaust, intake, headers... and street tires (Toyo Proxes T1S)
