Newbie - Just bought 02 CL-S-Need Advice
Hey all,
I am a pround new owner of a 2002 Acura Cl Type S.
It's white with tan interior and completely stock. I was wondering if anyone can give me suggestions/advice on what upgrades/aftermarket parts to put on the car. Im looking to put on wheels, exhaust, intake, and suspension. Just looking for tips, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all.

Im looking at a price range of about $2000 this summer and around $4000 next summer to spend. I would like to get the looks done first and worry about performance next summer. Probably wheels first, but Im not sure if I need to do the suspension before I put the wheels on (I want to put on 19" rims).

I think you should do everything you can to make the car handle better first and then go to performance mods.
So springs/struts/sways are the way to go in the short term.
If you get wheels, consider getting the strongest and lightest ones you can afford that look ok to you.

I pretty much agree with the above comments. Many peopel like the 18" wheel look. I'm very happy with wider 17"x 8" OZ Superleggera wheels with Michelin 235/45/17's. I recommend ride height adjustable spring over shock set up to get the proper drop in front compared to the rear -- Ground Control or Tein seem to be the main 2 companies supplying such setup. I would also recommend considering camber adjustment -- ball joints in front and upper links in rear to correct camber --especially in front to get better turn in, the main problem with heavy front wheel drive. If you're doing that might as well go for sway bars too.
Brakes are next in my book. Acuras are well known for getting shaky (vibrating under braking) rotors by 30-40K miles and they will need replacement. I'm not a fan of regrinding but some have done well by that. For the cost, new is better. Teflon/stainless brake lines will help pedal feel too.
Finally, go for HP.
Just my opinions...

Thanks for all the help guys. I agree with doing the suspension first. The Pa roads suck and I need to tighten up the suspension before I get wheels. I will consider the companies mentioned above.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
