Newbie gives birth to Resonator
Well I finally found time to remove the resonator. Took me about an hour because I wasen't familiar with the intake. Jacked the car up, removed the left wheel and some of the wheel well covering and was able to reach all three bolts with no problem. After that I just pulled the resonator down through the bottom.
Dropped a K&N filter in and I was done. I definately did notice better throttle response and a nice deep rumble on WOT.
The only thing that kind of bothers me is this humming noise at idle, especially when in a garage, it just resonates. Is this normal or did I do something wrong? Its nothing that would make me put back in the resonator though.

Sounds normal to me - I think the stock resonator is designed for reducing the sound you are hearing and it also restricts air flow. You basically freed up air flow but will naturally have a little increase in sound.

Yeah, That makes sense. I just wish the sound wasn't so notecible. If it starts to become too annoying, I'll probablly get an icebox since the resonator is already out.
Does anyone know if the icebox kills the humming noise?
