Newbie!

Hello Everybody,

How is everybody,

My name is Geoff, I have a particular interest in these cars, CL Type-S, I browsed the boards for about a week now, and I love what you do to your cars! They are very nice! Anyways, I don't have a CL, much less a car, please don't flame me, i'm only 16, and with a drivers permit.. so yeah..I'm quite new to driving.. Anyways, hello everybody!

-Geoff

hey, hey!! Get a CL and start modding it before you get your drivers license!!! I know plenty of friends when we were in high school that fully restored old chevys and fords before they even got their permit!! Just don't wreck on account of the torque steer!!

welcome to the board...

Good to know ur interested in the cl but dont get it as ur first car.... the power will be overwhelming for someone ur age.

No matter how careful we try to be, speeding is always on a teen's mind. So mix a faster car with only mediocre handling like the CL with an inexperienced driver and its more trouble then u can bargain for (and others on the road)

Buy something modest now and u'll only appreciate a car like CL(-S) even more later on.

And dont listen to FOOLs who tell u to start modding just cos other kids in ur school are doing it

i agree

you need something to play fender benders with

i have realized how over powered this car is when i wiped out and realized how crazy acura is for giving a FWD car this much power after someone i met this weekend did the same thing as me.

but i know at a young age you want a fast car and something to show off in.

but its your decision just make sure you drive safe in whatever you get...

Thanks everybody for the welcome, I really appreciate it..

I am not getting a car for about another year to two years, and my decsion might vary, but the choice so far is the CL Type-S,
Anyways, I look forward to talking to some of you..

Bye For Now,

Geoff

heh.. i'm 16 and i have a first gen...
its a pretty fast car for a HS kid... BUT there are people at my school with brand new BMW's and 2 kids with RX-7's... so its not like i'm at the very top of the chain of cars at my school

but i'm NEAR THE TOP!(i'd say :P)
