new spark plugs
just had original plugs replaced at 92K miles and 10.5 years of ownership. Car runs about the same, maybe a bit smoother. They were still in good shape, mechanic said they could go another 30-40K miles. I had it done for $200, dealership wanted $450+ tax. I also got OEM part... Its pretty crazy how much more dealership charges. its more than double, its insane. Part# PZFR6E-11.

yeah, but I doubt you will find a decent mechanic do it for less than $200. I could also buy my own plugs for $60 and bring it to him, but I let him make money by selling parts. However, I did request specific OEM part numbers.
I am just happy I did not pay $450 for the exact same job at the stealer

Is everyone pretty much finding out that plugs still look good even at 100K miles? I saw them myself, did not look bad at all, just some discoloring.. He said I could keep them another 40K miles or so...

I did my spark plug change at the 7 year mark. I think I was at 78k miles. Somewhere around there. My old spark plugs still looked very nice, but I figured I'd change 'em anyways.

Yea, I have yet replace mine. Car runs fine. Asked my mechanic about them after I had my 105K maint done, and he said they would be fine for now. Plus I had another buddy advice, and he said they would probably be fine till 150K. I mean we are talkin about NGK platinum plugs 60 or so a piece, so I guess you get what you pay for.

including labor, but yes, its outrageous considering you can get same plugs for $60... even if they charge you MSRP $100 plugs, I just dont see how they can justify $350 in labor costs. Just as*holes!

Changed mine out at about 70K when I got the car. Not so much 'cause I thought they'd be worn, but just one of the things I do when I obtain a car for peace of mind. As expected when I changed over to iridiums there was no noticeable change of performance or gas mileage. And the originals looked good.
DIY wasn't bad w/ basic hand tools. Easier anyway than the LS430 which I ended up paying $90 for install.
