New Shifter Bushings?
I have searched and read around here a little bit but couldnt figure out exactly how much they benefit the CL 6MT, or where to buy them. Where would I look, and what do i buy?
I've read that on 04-08 TL MT's they make the shifting feel better and a little smoother. I'll take a guess that it is still the same on the CL's.
Anyways, if you guys have any information or opinions i would love to know.
Thanks guys.

there's no reason not to do it. it's smoother, easier into all gears, you know when you're in or if you're not in the gear (my 2nd has 2 engagements like the tl's 3rd gear.. argh).
basically instead of being vague it's precise..
like using a butterknife instead of a scalpel to do surgury. and they're only $30. but personally i would do the clutch bypass too.. that's free (or if you want to upgrade the line it's $30 for an SS line)

Man, I've got alot to learn.

Where can i get these bushings, and how do i do this clutch bypass?
search on this forum 'clutch bypass' or 'clutch damper' or cdd.. it's a small device, roughly the size of a puck. really easy actually, make sure you have flare nut wrenches tho (or you'll strip ends like i did). there's 1 line going into the device and 1 line going out. you can take the long rubber clutch line and just reroute it to where the other line goes, and you're done. basically, if you've ever tried doing fast shifts and you feel like the clutch is slipping or it grabs very very slowly, that's the CDD working it's magic.. burning away your clutch

Here's the thread on the CCD Bypass. I added the steel braided line and I like the feel.

I greased mine up with some lithium grease.
You wont feel anything different. The clutch will just engage as fast as you take your foot off the clutch. With the CCD, fluid flow back to the clutch master cylinder from the clutch slave cylinder is restricted to a max flow rate so the clutch can only engage at a maximum rate of engagement. That rate of flow is supposed to be slow enough to help with a smoother engagement of the clutch if you are a very shitty stick driver but it doesnt do much except force you to slip the clutch some when you let off the clutch by dumping it, whereas without the CCD, the clutch would just "hook up" instantly at the same rate as the clutch peddal came off the floor, however fast you make that happen.
Its completely reversable. Just reinstall it. No modification or additional parts necessary.

It does feel a little different. There's more vibration in the clutch pedal. You can feel that. You will get used to it though.
Mod notes....
Leave the CCD in the car, just disconnect the lines.
Also you will have to bleed the clutch. This is easier from under the front bumper then to try from the top of the engine.
