For what it's worth, Posi are either semi-metallic OR ceramic... Posi-Quiet is actually the name brand... just thought I would mention since I spoke with R1 about it...

Another side note.. the Posi Ceramic and Semi-Metallic are actually the same price at R1....

SeaKnight: I did turn the rotors around when I intalled my Tein basic's last weekend. For everyone else......so far so good! If there aren't any problems soon I would def say R1 is one of those diamond in the rough companys..

Just put a new R1 rotors on all four corners of my girlfriends G35x and for $230 for rotors and pads I must say I am highly highly impressed by the performance.

So much so that I am going to pick up a pair for my CL-S when these ones go out.

about your new tires your looking to buy, PLEASE don't buy the ast's, they are a crap tire, you will be very unhappy with them, trust me I sold them for the last year and they are not for our car. If you have a shop that is selling Kumho tires, look at the Kumho ecsta LX platinum, it is a new tire from Kumho, with excellent all season traction for all the rain you get, and super quiet, and at a "w" speed rating they are still rated from Kumho at 60,000 miles and shouldn't be too much more than those crappy ast's your looking at, jmo

mrclrider: thanks, I appreciate your input. I still haven't decided on any brand or any model yet.........I still have to receive and install the Progress Rear Sway and Moog endlinks to go with my new Teins. I definitely will ask opinions about tires once I have the suspension dialed in to where I want it.

You'll like the 235/45's- They are noticeably beefier. My buddy had the 452's on his Volvo S60 R and he loved 'em.

I got the 452's installed yesterday. Gotta say i'm loving them right now. Took a slightly banked turn that I usually do 40 and I did 45 with no problems and the car held its line. On the straight, it would usually spin 1st when v-tec engages and then a bit on 2nd. Now it chip, vtec, 2nd no problem and pulls like a mule.

Hey are you a vendor on this site now? If not I don't think you're allowed to have an account advertising your business without paying to be an official vendor...

I have R1's on my CL, and they are awesome.

Rotora's are a lot better...even though, to be honest I don't have any complaints about my R1's...some other members do though.
