New owner of a 2003 CL-S 6Speed 53k miles

I wanted to drop in and say hello! I just picked up a local 2003 Acura CL-S 6 Speed with 53k miles from a dealer. I had to give up my beloved NSX about 6 months ago and have been crying ever since. I purchased a 2010 Acura ZDX about 6 months ago to free up some bills and other things. The ZDX was my first automatic in my life and I hated it. I knew I had to look for something cheap in order to start saving for another NSX and the CL was a perfect match. The car is in really great condition, other than a few dents which it will be going to the body shop soon to get everything back to new. I’m about as anal as they get when it comes to my cars, and I’m grateful for the people who took great care of this CL over the years. The wheels will be the first thing to go as I don’t like the design. The car come with a set of KSport coilovers which I will determine if I’m going to keep after I change wheel size. I’m really excited to have an older car again and can’t wait to learn about this car from you all. Thanks for looking! It’s kind of funny the previous owner lives like 5 miles from me, if you are on here please contact me

My old ZDX

The New CL-S

Congrats! What wheels are those? They almost look like RonJon Legend Type IIs. If they are, post them in the BM. You should be able to get a decent amount for them. I think theyd fit well on the 3G TL. 20s are a no-no for the CL IMO.

Thanks dude, the wheels are RonJon 20" which is way too big for this car imo like you said. I will most likely go with a 18 or 19 in an aggressive fitments.

Welcome. Swap wheels and go low. Keep the coils. Also, the ZDX is just...awful. I think it's terribly ugly. My opinion though.

I saw that car for sale on autotrader. I was going to check it out but I didn't like the color. Glad you picked it up.

Haha no offense taken. The ZDX is not for everyone, but ugly or not it is one hell of a car Tech wise.

Its my first silver car so im pretty excited. I knew I had to act fast if I wanted it. I basically did the deal the first day they listed it, and picked it up this afternoon. Still smells new! The pass rear Qpanel has a weird dent in the main body line which I will be addressing soon, other then a few other door dings it's pretty flawless.

Yea, it's in pretty good condition for it's age. I thought it might have belonged to a member on here since it had RJ wheels on it. But I didn't see anyone list it in the black market so it was probably just a trade in.

What kind of tech does the ZDX have?

I love silver, and SSM is a great color. Honestly I have a few dings myself (happens at 181k ) and they are really hard to spot because of the color. If you end up changing your suspension setup, please let me know if you're selling those coilovers, I'd love a set of coils as I am not low enough, who knows, maybe we could work out a trade/cash deal.

Thanks, I have lots of things planned for the CL. Just doing all my research now. I kind of thought there would be more stuff for this car but looks like im wrong. Does Acura even offer a factory bodykit for the CL?

The ZDX I had was the Advanced model which basically comes with ever option from Acura. Blind Spot, Adaptive Cruise, Brake Assist, 15GB Harddrive, IDS Suspension, Cool and heated seat, Bluetooth, and the list goes on. But its just not for me.

I will let you know about the coils, I for sure want coilovers and will determine once my wheels get here next week or so.

Lol welcome to the wonderful world of very limited aftermarket support. Half the parts on my car are from other cars. There's no factory lip kit for the cl. Myself and other members molded the kit from the TL.

Welcome and nice ride with a nice color I find it borderline idiotic that Acura made a lip kit for the TL (less sporty) and didn't make one for the CL (more sporty). Anywho, I hope you love you are car, very tough to find one with that low of miles. Good day!

I picked my car up at 95k and the body is nearly perfect, except i believe the previous owner backed into a wall or someone turned too tight around the rear, these are scratches.

As for your wheels , 20 is much too big imo as well.

I concur, pretty sad Acura didnt make a kit for this car for as sporty as it is. I will think of something.

The OZ are nice, I actually prefer the Eneki GTC01 they look a lot a like.

No worries diddy, things have been the same way for me this past week. I ordered a set of Avante Garde 310 Dolphin Grey in 19x8.5 so I can get these 20" wheels off the car. Im still looking for a 3-Piece wheel for the car but will determine what route I will go once the Avante wheels are on so I can look at the stance.
