New Mod For Me *Sound Clip*

I finally decided on buying my exhaust setup it's Magnaflow #14827 with 2.5" Piping No Resonator.

Here's a soundclip of my setup

RIGHT CLICK, SAVE AS TARGET PLEASE TO SAVE BANDWIDTH.

Magnaflow Soundclip

Yes I know the left muffler is hanging lower than the right one. This is due to my stupid self coming out of a Parking garage on a steep driveway in Atlantic City, New Jersey coming from the SEMA Car Show. It will all be fixed hopefully.

yeah I did some of the help on the ghetto welding....My friend did some of the welding for me too including the pipe bending. It sounds really nice inside the cabin. When the rpms reaches above 3k you hear nothing but intake and when your driving at low it's deep like the hks draggers.

sounds pretty good, and i typically am against exhaust on our cars! good job and congrats. im assuming this setup was pretty cheap and it sounds just as good as $500+ systems.

Can anyone tell what the difference is between the #14827 and the #14832? besides the shape of the tip.

http://www.justmagnaflow.com

Also, can we get some day pictures from further away?

Well from doing a little research for you I see that on the Magnflow site it states that both are the same in diameter except the 14827 has a single wall and 14832 is made up of a double wall structure what ever that means. I'll get day time pics for you.

Is that what those letters mean? I was wondering about that, I wonder if that makes any difference in sound.

Thanks!

AFAIK its only a stylized difference for the tips only. The DW looks like its formed of a thicker SS though it isnt. SW looks thin around the diameter of the tip, DW's have that thick and beveled look and rolled edges are SW's with the out edges curled in. There should be no sound output difference though.

As far as the car above, it sounds great but it looks as if its hanging askewed. I'm not making fun, I have a MF on my other car and it did the same thing after a DIY install. For whatever reason it seems like across the board you should be bringing your car to a mechanic after wards for a 5 minute adjustment that you can't do on your back in the driveway. Nothing sounds as good as a MF exhaust on an import car though.

One thing you will want to do though is keep after it with some polish and maybe even a high heat polymer like Nu-Finish. Even though they are SS systems/mufflers they do tend to surface corrode on ya during salty winters. They clean up beautifully though.

I think you're right about the sound, but for anyone else who is looking for a comparison of sound there is a vid clip of the 14832's here..... https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ight=magnaflow

And when day pics are posted, you can compare the look between the two with the pics here..... https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...3&postcount=17

Keep in mind that I still have my resonator on while watching those clips.

Now that I see how it sounds without it I like it...
