New Info about the Small SRT 4 monster

http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/showth...threadid=11645

Quotes from the Thread:
"During our testing, the angry little SRT-4 hit 60 in 5.8 seconds and put 223 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque to is front wheels on our Dynojet chassis dyno. That means our test car made more power and torque at the wheels that it's rated for at the flywheel, which is unheard of from nearly any car."

"On the street, the SRT-4 is a monster. Blast through the gears hard and you'll scare the pants off of anyone driving a Subaru WRX. Sure the SRT-4 doesn't have the all-wheel-drive holeshot of the Subaru, but a careful look at the numbers tells us that a drag race between the two cars would be a contest of drivers as much as cars - it's that close."

"All we know is you can now hit 60 in 5.8 seconds for under 20 grand, haul three passengers in reasonable comfort and scare the bejeezus out of WRX drivers in an American economy car."

The numbers:
Manufacturer's claimed HP: 215 @ 5400 rpm
HP measured at wheels: 223 @ 5600 rpm

Manufacturer's claimed torque: 245 @ 2000 rpm
Torque measured at wheels: 250 @ 3000 rpm

Curb weight: 2,870 lbs

Acceleration:
0-60: 5.8 sec
50-70: 3.0 sec
1/4 mile: 14.2 sec @ 99.5 mph

Braking
60-0: 119 ft

So that is more like 262HP with 15% loss and 294TQ. This is impressive for a car that weighs only 2870lbs. The trapspeed is damn impressive with some nittos this car will be a high 13's car. Add few mods and ur looking at low 13's at 100+mph. Very nice.

What do u think guys?
