New to the family

whats up you fellas, I finally tracked down an 03 acura cl s 6 speed and have finally graduated from my honda accord! I had a couple bolt-ons under the hood of my accord such as DC headers and aem intake which made it a lot more fun to drive and a little bit quicker. I know you guys hear "what the best?" all the time but I was curious if you have any opinions on the ideal set up for I/H/E which offer the best performance while reducing the loud annoying Fart box syndrome. From what I have read Comptech Headers seem to be a good buy coupled with the Ice box , I'm kind of hesitant to do the underpiping and mufflers...What do you guys think? does anyone have a sound clip of their cars accelerating with their aftermarket setup? Thanks guys I really appreciate any input you can give me

CT icebox and CT headers are the prefered mods... you won't get much hp (2 or 3 maybe) from the rest of the exhaust, so the only reason to do so is for sound...

The only other option for 6spd headers are the ssautochrome/xspower headers:

Oh, and welcome to the forum !!

Hi and welcome to the boards What color combo is your 6 speed? The only header options that are available are the Comptech headers and the XSPower headers. You can read about the XSPower headers in the thread link Green Monster posted. As for the intake, its really your preference. The comptech air box is quiet(a little growl) and stock looking under the hood. An AEM intake is much louder and doesnt offer the stock look under the hood.

Welcome to the family.

...IMO..

The CT heders are $1300+ but are tried test and tru. if you do not have the $$ for the CT headers then it might not hurt that much to try the other headers. Lord Helmet has them and he really like them. Besides that go fo rthe CT Ice box and the CT axle-back exhaust

Thanks for the input fellas...I think I will go with comptechs and Icebox...I managed to snag a black on black model with about 44k out of birmingham alabama from a reputable imports dealer...Im stoked as hell to get it here to me in Charlotte NC. I drove the automatic 03 CL-S and fell in love but from what I have heard the 6 speed is a whole other animal. I still can't get over how the seats have the auto fold-forward with the touch of a button... so bad ass -
Do you guys have any ideas about how to slow this beast down better for under 1500?
