What brand/model/price?
Did you do the install yourself? Did the mufflers come ready to attach to your car?
Did the sound change after install?? Get deeper exhaust note?
I am asking because I am thinking of doing the same thing.
Thanks...Michael

For the inquiry minds that like the details..
The factory cans cracked at the very seam where they enter the muffler... Can't imagine why So I went out and got these instead of paying an arm and a leg for the CT/HKS/Greddy/5zigen etc...
These are Arospeed Universal Mufflers; (I ordered #ARO917002 and they are not what the desc. of the ARO917002 looks like... its like a cross between the ARO917002 & ARO914016 etc.. ) Nonetheless Ill find out exactly what the hell they are since my overall length is ~22.5" and all the ones in their most recent catalog are no more then 19".
The cans cost me $139 each and I did the welding myself.
Sound:
Virtually identical to the CT, however on acceleration they have a very NICE DEEP rumble... almost Flowmaster like on a 305 Chevy (Best comparo I could think of) ... Anyway HELLA happy with them.
I imagine a shop would charge ~100 to throw them on since you need to weld new hangers and cut the factory piiping. Again no big deal ... less then an hour of work.
They look Soooooooooo much better in person the pix dont do them justice.. The actual can is slightly oval (I personally dont think the round cans look right under our car) and the tips are round on a slight angle.
Any questions ask away...
I LOVE EM !

On a side note.. The reasoning behind not going with a name brand like Greddy/HKS/CT was simply this.... None give any true gains in our car. Anything less then 5 HP i wouldnt consider to be a "Performance Upgrade" and at $500-$1K I couldnt justify the big name brands just for the cosmetic aspect.
POWER: No real increase in power... Butt Dyno is misleading because of the growl emitted by my rear (THE CLS REAR THAT IS ) If anything it "seems" to pull off the line the slightest most unimaginably little bit faster.. but again I bought them not expecting ANY gains.. and there werent any losses of power so Im a happy camper

Hey, thanks for the info.
I forgot to mention that they look terrific.
I am still trying to decide on how to improve my suspension after putting on lowering springs...I guess new shocks are in order. I also want to replace my radio HU with the new Pioneer 9400.
When that's done I want new 18" wheels and tires.
Somewhere along the way, new mufflers will enter the mix.

OK after a lil web research (invoice at the shop) its looks to me to be the Arospeed 4.5" 5-Zigen #ARO914016 cans. Something is still goofy however I try my cans measure ~2" longer then the specs for the #ARO914016. But thanks for the feedback.. wanted to make sure I didnt have "Rice Fever" and not know it

Re: DUDE!! where is
[i]He probably photoshopped it out.
Btw, JZ will probably want to know how you got those black bands across your taillights. Is it just eletrical tape or some sort of paint?

Damn you !!!! LOL ITS NOT FOOKEN ELECTRICAL TAPE!
LOL it is a vinyl mask I used a heat gun to shape over the tailight and then sprayed an outdoor adhesive to and applied.

1 Week update...
Great sound.. seems to get progressively "throatier" nice gurgle upon letting of gass from high rpm.. nice deep resonance at 1500RPM in 5th.... All in all sounds kick ass mated to an intake Woohoooo ok nothing much in the world of performance gains but makes the car look hella better and sounds sweeeeeeeet

I didnt take the resonator out yet for lack of time and fear of what it might sound like But once I do remover the pre-muffler/resonator I may replace it with a small straight thru glass pack. Hopefully that WILL give me the sound I really want to hear Tough not having a v8 (not the veggie drink) I looove the sound of a 350 with glasspacks and duels....
I'll try and measure the tips and record a wav or mp3 when I get a chance but running around all damn week so first chance I get I will do.
