New CLS6 owner

Hey guys, not really new to the community, but am new to the cls 6-speed club. A little background on me: I first owned a GGM 01 TL-> 03 WDP Tl-S-> 06 Lexus IS350-> to now owning an 03 E55 amg as my toy and just picked up an 03 CL type s 6-speed in AM. Plan on dailying that car, but still plan on a few mods here and there. It has 156k miles on it and the paint is fading pretty damn bad. Drives great other than this weird pull to the right when i'm on it. Also I've driven tons of manual cars, but the cl's has a lot of play in the lever while in gear. Any way to fix that? I know you guys are gonna want pics and it's not the greatest, but here is one.

My car pulls to the right as well when I get on it. I assume it's torque steer especially since I just got an alignment last week. Although your problem could be different. Other than that and you'll be amazed by the gas milage you get.

It looks like you live on my girlfriend's parents' street. I won't put your information out there like that, though.

If you need any OEM parts for it, I have a parts car CL-S6 in Caldwell. Just let me know.

Get some pictures of the E55 up, too! Those are some of my favorite cars on the planet! How is your 2003? Any issues with it?

That would be my cousin's street haha. Since you asked about parts... do you happen to have a drivers window regulator and a passenger door lock actuator?

And... a few pics of the gas guzzler haha

I have both, actually. When would you like them? Are you ever inside the loop during the week?

it's defenitely different than the acura. Feels weird driving between them both and seeing that i'm going way over the speed limit when in my acura it's right at it. Would love the 55 more if it didn't drink gas the way it does lol

Nice grab

I just got the same car cls6 recently too and I notice that weird right pull too I checked my car. Everything was firm. No suspension issues, No broken sways no lose ball joints. I think car needs a more stiffer suspension set up that's what I'm gonna do soon

Motor mounts might help, but these cars have noticeable torque steer.

more torque steer than the 2g tls? It's quite a bit. I know I need an alignment, but it's not that off.

Congrats on the car! Sounds like you might need new shifter bushings to help with the loose knob.

Well the 2nd gen TL is basically the same car. Minus 6speed.

Those eliminate the rubber bushings in the base of the shifter assembly itself. The bushings where I feel there is a more noticeable upgrade are the linkage bushings.

look up hybrid racing bushings. Very quick and easy to install, and gives a nice crisp feel.

Yes sorry. When Jarrett mentioned linkage bushings I mentioned the hybrid racing. I don't have any experience with those base bushings.

you think the linkage bushings would be a better bet for the play in the shift knob?
