New Brakes & Rims (need some advice)

I'm getting ready get some new rims for my '01 CL and I'd like to do a brake upgrade while i'm at it. My biggest concern is the brakes. The wheels are pretty straight forward but I'm not sure were to start with the brakes. I want to be able to swap the rims for the winter and put my stock ones back on so I can't really go much bigger with the rotors. Anyone know of a kit I can get for some new calipers and rotors. I like the slotted/drilled look on the rotors and I really want some pre-painted calipers. Any ideas or help would be great!

Your stuck with stock. The only things you can do other then a BBK is better rotors & pads, & SS Lines. Search the site once it's back to normal. Also check the FAQ at the top of the forum. That will give you all available options.

I agree with fuzzy on this one, there really aren't that many options. However, if you can swing the cash, I highly recommend upgrading to a Big Brake Kit. I have Rotora's BBK on my CL and i can still run stock rims w/ a 5mm spacer.

Our 17" Servo clears the BBK from Rotora, and requires no spacers. They won't rub, and they are also hubcentric. On top of that, you can swap your OEm tires right on to them, they are 17" x 7", same as stock.

I don't really advertise it much but ROTORA offers a 4 piston mini caliper kit. It it is designed to work with the OE discs and I can give wheel clearances. I usually don't advertise it b/c it runs $1150 shipped and IMO for $200 more you could have larger discs. However it does include a pair of 4 piston mini calipers, SS brake lines for the front, brackets, and ROTORA H2 ceramic pads.

Great, thanks. I did do a little searching and homework before I posted and I couldn't really find anything. I figured where was a better place to see if i just missed it, then to ask here. I'll look into the BBK, but I wasn't expecting to spend that much. Thanks guys.
