New Audio Clips

Folks,

I recorded some new audio clips that are a bit cleaner then the last set I posted. One warning: Turn your speakers down because they are LOUD Keep in mind that this is under HARD acceleration, every day driving acoustics do not sound any different from stock

Roasting the rubber a bit

Fotis,

My second tops out at about 72mph. So for all of our mathematicians... if you watch the timer while you listen youll see that the car goes out of second at 8.55 seconds (starting on a roll and w/o launching hard). 0 - 72 in 8.55 is about a 0-60 in 6.55 (~2 sec for 60-70 is about right) on a roll baby

Ahhh.... No more clipping. Sounds nice and sounds like stock tires squeal ..hehe..

Ok, how about db readings vs stock with a graph of stock vs Xepher per rpm (just kidding)

Xepher -- I hope you are going to get a dyno of the unit in the short ram configuration(I'm not kidding about that).

Chris, I noticed the original times with the "clipped" audio were 6 seconds long. You were really hauling butt on that run.

Hey Chris, How'd you get such a clear recording? I was gonna do that for you with my laptop, but it ended up sounding like shit so I said forget it.

~Fotis

PS, you must really be getting sick of your stock rubber, pretty soon you'll need those new 235's

Fotis,

I bought a sony digital handheld recorder that uses smart media. Then ran the output to the mic jack of the laptop

Does the recorder have a limiter/compressor or did you just leave plenty of headroom?
