Never Wax Your Car...Claims "ToughGuard!"

Check this out: www.toughguard.com

I bought this stuff when I bought my 2003 CL-S. Paid about $600. from the dealer. My body shop man says, " I GOT SCREWED. Clear coat is made to last 5 years even if you don't wax." Check out the price...I guess the fuggin' dealer made plenty of money off me.

Heh.. the dealer we got our Accord from tried to push this stuff.... They called it the "EPP - Enviromental Protection Package" for $300.

I almost laughed out loud when I read it. They should just call it Extra Profit Padding.

The secret of "TUFF GUARD" is in the application of this marvelous product.
STEP 1) Bend Over.
STEP 2) Feel the pain as it goes to work protecting your cars finish and ripping apart your wallet.
STEP 3) SORRY DUDE!!!
Dude most car dealers are criminals, watch out!

Do you think this stuff has any merit, or just some way to screw the public?

But didn't you guys see the shine on those radar units? WOW. Primer grey never looked better!

I bought some paint protection package for my car but since I purchased through a credit union they were forced to lower the price. I know its a rip-off but I knew the Acura needed all the paint help I could get.

my friend bought a rx300 silversport from lexus, and got his car "TOC'ed" (touch of class), suppose to be good if you park your car outside more, like added protection and added shine, is this the same stuff?

only time and your perception will tell. but $600 seems like alot.

also, white is the easiest color to take care of. no swirls, always looks shiny, etc. satin silver comes in a close second.

to tell you the truth, it's a good buy sorta. If you get birdshit on the car and it eats through the clear coat. The dealer will repaint your WHOLE car for free!

Well, yeah! Remember, I got sold on ToughGuard, so you don't have to wax. I really didn't pay much attention to those threads.

If you aren't going to use Zaino, at least try some of this (I use it on my wife's car and it's good stuff if your lazy and want something that holds up for a fairly long time [approx 6mo - year when left outdoors]):

Darrinb, I just read the ad on Zaino from their website, and the claim is pretty much what ToughGurard claims:

Zaino never claim "never wax your car again." They said their products will provide a show room shine which is proven by many of our memmbers. Plus, their completely package is 100 or less, not 600

On the Toughguard site, you can buy their package for under $100.
