Neuspeed Short Shift Kit

It's installed in my CL and I don't know what the big deal is about it. The throws feel slightly shorter but I think the average person wouldn't even notice. It's not any more notchy and the action isn't more difficult, but it's not that big of a deal. Maybe saves a little effort.

Honestly... I don't think so. Neuspeed says it's a 34% reduction. Maybe it is. But I was hoping for very short throws. Still... it doesn't make the shifting WORSE so the $150 I spent total was not a huge waste but this is not a 'must have' upgrade.

How in the hell did you spend $150 on just this? Does that include a platinum shift knob?

I bought it, then sold it a month later. I figured the stock shifter was nice enough and Ididnt wanna drill into anything. :/

It was about $100 for the adapter then I paid someone to install it.

$100 bucks or not, I would have done it regardless. I'd throw a shorter shift knob on it too.

I will post a photo of my set up. I added a shorter knob... a leather Momo knob and boot. It was worth the money I guess. Thanks the photo was taken up in Tahoe. Your avatar is pretty cool. Is that the real background? I'll post a photo of my interior tomorrow.

Cool, I'd like to see it.

Thanks! Yeah, the background is real. I just tuned the color a bit. It came out nice, I thought.

I like mine. I also have a much shorter Momo shift knob which I think helps too.

Here are some pics of my set-up. The first two are the Momo shift knob and boot, second two are of the Neuspeed adapter. Sorry they're blurry. You may need to click on the links because the last two photos won't post:

Nice.

You need to clean your console though!

Yeah I haven't cleaned it in a while. And the boot and knob look the same under normal lighting.

I like it too but I prefer mine. The perforated leather on my knob matches the seats and parking brake and the silver matches the silver trim of the interior.

It's the short MOMO Anatomico shift knob like this:

I had one like Mr. Steve's but the metal gets wicked hot and burned my hand most of the time.

You have a point. I forgot about that since it is winter. I usually rest a small towel over the knob to keep it cool in teh summer when i park.
