need some help please....
so i installed my headers today...took about 3 hours (not too bad with shitty tools). anyways...here's my problem
i busted one of the bolts on the head in front of the motor (which really pissed me off because the torque wrench sucked) but i figured it would be ok to turn the engine on to drive around and see if anything was wrong. i start driving and i hear this noise that's kind of like a piece of paper in a fan but not nearly as loud, the only other way to describe it is like a slurping of the bottom of a bottle with a straw. it only shows up when i'm accelerating (between 3-5 rpm) and not when i'm revving. it's not too prominent except when i'm accelerating a little harder.
Then i hear a friggin bolt fall on the road and it makes the sound a little worse (not too much at all) so i pull into a gas station and look and one of the bolts is sheared from the front manifold hooked up to the a-pipe.
so what do you guys think is causing the noise? i would guess that it was the header/ manifold rattling around but it only happened when i accelerated.
also, the rear manifold doesn't match up perfectly (it's only 1 mm off) and the front is a little more off. do you think i should just redo the front connection (since i gotta get a new bolt and nut for the header/ head connection) or should i pull it all and do it all over again. i don't think 1 mm is that big of a deal, but you guys probably know better than me
thanks for the help
