Need Some Help, Passenger Seat Gear Is Stuck
ive done my searching and found nothing. I took apart my seat today, took the motor off, and its working just fine, the little gear on the motor has all its teeth intact and it moves in both positions perfectly. When i had the seat all together the back wouldnt recline, its stuck in the straightest position, when i hit the button to recline it i could hear the motor working and it sounded like the gears moves just a bit but then got stuck.
today when i took apart the seat i noticed that the one main gear (that the smaller gear from the motor should move) will not move. I used a flathead screw driver and tried moving it, and it will only move about 1mm in both directions, but thats it.
Any ideas as to what it could be? i dont know how to fully take apart the seat, because there is a metal plate that uses some crazy bolts that are welded on or something.

ok so ....weird thing happened. i was sitting with my bird hanging out in my car. i forgot the lights, left the car in the on position, and my battery drained....i had to get a boost, and after when my car started up......my passenger seat worked LOL. So you might try unhooking the battery for a bit and see if it will somehow reset the seat, hey worked for me

its a pretty common problem for the seat to stop working and start working, or at least thats what ive seen from the few people who i talked to about the powered seats

It looks like you've got some serious rusting going on in your seat you may want to get some rust remover and then go at it with WD-40 
. If the rusting continues it will eventually lock up permanently and it won't work at all
