Need Some Advice...

I recently got into an accident in which there is an estimated 5-6000$ CDN worth of damage. Now should i pay the money or use an insurance claim which will most likely cause my insurance to double to about 8 grand a year CDN. I was not charged in the accident, so the insurance doesn't no. what should i do, fork up the money or increase insurnace, in which the money will be gone in two years neways.

just some background info if ne1 cares. I am so happy i din't get charged with careless driving which is 6 points in canada. I already have 3 points and combined thas 9 which is a liscence suspension, and insurnace... yeah right insurance.... Neways i was so relieved that the cop was a chinese guy because i have had some bad experience with white cops... Does ne1 no how much it would actually cost. i need a new front bumper, hood and radiator i think. I am totally fine, i was going so damn slow when i hit the car in front of me. The car in front was a volvo s70 it had a scratch as damage and that's it.

EDIT.. to give u an idea, of how fast i was going i didn't even come close to hitting my steering wheel on impact and airbags didn't deploy.
