I am thinking of getting one kicker 12 inch L7 solo baric subwoofer and the kicker 2 channel 300 watt amp. Need to know if anyone out there knows anything about this amp and sub and if its any good. All opinons will be greatly appreaciated. Thanks.

that sub is a great sub, but that amp wont do the trick. I'd say get a memphis 500.2 amp, i have 1000.2 memphis with 2 kicker L7'd snf its the loudest system in any of the schools in my district, trust me memphis makes amps right, also get a 1 farad capacitor, and good wiring

300 watts is not nearly enough. I have the 12L7 and I have a mono Kicker 600 watt amp to it. This amp does the trick but there is room for more power.

Heres what I see for the s12l7 in a ported kicker box-power range 75-750 watts RMS with the use of an optional 25Hz subsonic filter; otherwise 75-400 watts RMS.

I have the L7 and love it. You have a boost knob in the cabin to adjust the sub. As for the amp, I am not sure about that one. Mine is overkill, so the 300 watts should work fine.....

My little cousin had 2 12 L7's in a sealed box with an 800.1d Rockford amp. In pounded nice and tight, hit every beat hard. Then i heard my other cousin's system which was the same L7's and same amp in a ported box. It sounded like shit, but was soo freakin loud. It was unbeleavable. Finally the cousin with the sealed box, got 1 JL 12w7 with a 1200.1 amp, dont know who makes it. That JL is just as loud in a sealed box as the 2 kickers, but way way tighter and has better response and sound.
