Need help w/oil change intervals

I would like to know what is the general concensus regarding the oil change interval on the CL-S. Is it at 3750 or 7500 miles.?

When you change the oil do you got to the dealer or to the local oil change station?

I get my oil changed every 3000 miles by my dealer. I signed up when I bought the car for one of the Service Plans offered by my dealer.

So I don't have to pay a dime for any oil change or service covered by the plan I am a part of.

Look to the manual.

If you do a lot of short runs and stop-and-go driving -- use the 3750 schedule. Just change the oil and filter together (my opinion).

If your doing freeway runs, where the car's temp gets up and stays there for a while, then use the 7500 mile interval (if you like).

I normally use my corner gas station, 'cause they let me inspect the car and I can watch them doing the oil change (unlike the dealer).

I change the oil in 6 month intervals, since I have such low mileage on the car during a year. I use Mobil1 synthetic and change (oil and filter) at 3000 mile intervals (or earlier if time is a factor). This is just my choice. You will find others here that believe that this is a waste of money -- I'm not going to argue this point, I belive in cheap insurance.

BTW -- you will also here a number of opinions on how long to leave in the break-in oil...
