Need help with my road/fog bulb upgrade

I just stopped by the local auto parts store, and I asked one of the guys to take a look at my road lamp bulbs to see if they have any PIAA's that can replace the stock ones. He popped the bulb out, and said they don't have nor make ANYTHING (hyper white) that will fit into what the stock bulb fits into. They carry PIAA bulbs...

How did everyone replace the stock bulbs?

Thanks!

Well the guy is an idiot. There are multiple PIAA bulbs that fit the road lamps. Check out that section of Chod's FAQ here..

Here is a little bit of help...

Polarg M6 and PIAA 19224 are very close. These MAY cause some scorching of the housing.. Some who have these bulbs no not have any scorching. I actually bought the M6, then chickened out on putting them in. The person that I sold it to told that he leaves it on in winter, that way the bulb does not scorch the interior. Smart!!

I chickened out and put the PIAA 19196 which is a lower wattage bulb that is better than stock.

Research that, then start researching changing your highs. That is a must. Mine are Nokya Arctic Whites and I love them. Big diff from stock. Stock shows yellowish white. Nokya shows a blue white. Very cool.

I went to a different auto. parts store after I intially posted and received a few replies. They had the PIAA 19196 bulbs in stock, so I went ahead and got them. They look great... I'm not quite sure what the first guy I talked to was smoking... Idiot!!!

Thanks for the replies... I'm going to give my car a wash tomorrow, so I'll take some pics. of it then.

Damn, I love my car!

Get the high beams... 9005

Solaris is like $65.00
Nokya $20-25 depending on where you buy from.

You know what will convince you to upgrade the high?? Aim your car into a garage or wall and turn the high beam on..
