Need help figuring out parts...
Ok guys,
I just got my car this past weekend. And i wanted to know if anyone can help me out on finding out what's all that's been done to the car. Mostly the suspension is what i'm curious about.
I've jacked the car up to take a look. The only thing i can make out is the comptech springs. I don't know what to look for to figure out if the shock/struts are factory or aftermarket as well as the sways. Both are black, that's all i can see from looking at them.
Also the intake looks to be a custom job. Just polished aluminum with bypass and a K&N filter. I will post a pic up of that to see if anyone knows if it's a brand out there or just a custom job. I hope you guys can help me out.
thanks,
-D

CT springs are silver, the majority of aftermarket shocks will be different colored. Black generally means they're stock.
If the aluminum piping has any stickers or name on it you'l lbe able to tell but otherwise I'd suppose that it was some knock off CAI. Check the front header for a Comptech emblem on it. Black sways will generally mean stock unless they say Neuspeed right on them. Otherwise you can check the exhaust in the rear and see if the pulleys are anodized or polished or anything and see if there's a upper strut bar. Short of those mods there's really nothing left to do on a 2nd gen CLS.
