I've had a problem of the check engine light coming on at random intervals. The code on my scan tool is a p0740 which it describes as Torque Converter Clutch Circut Malfunction. This sometimes is associated with both VSA lights coming on and remaining on and solid til the car is turned off. The car performs fine, shifts are firm and the auto under wot holds them till redline followed by a qucik shift. This has happened under extreme torque with the nitrous but I have also had the code thrown just driving at 1/4 throttle on the freeway. I've also had the code P0741 or Toque Converter Cluth Circut Performance or Stuck Off code thrown inconjunction with the 0740 but not as often probaly only twice.
Do you think the problem is in my wiring or monitors or in the rebuilt tranny. Once again I'm not feeling any missed shifts or slipage, but sometimes on auto it will down shift unexpectadly but nothing violent just the next gear and only under light throttle, never does this when shifting up. Thanks for any ideas. My local shop took a look at the wiring and said everything was still setup correctly. They did the install, either I need to talk to Jason at VR or go the Acura.
