need advise guys
whats up guys, i have been checking out this board for a while, and finally decided to post(kind of a procrastinator). anyway, i have a 03 c-ls 6 speed, that i am ready to invest alot of money into. long story short, my girlfriend just got a h2, so her 04 tl is mine for the time being-now i have transportation while i mod the cl-s. we are looking to make this thing fast. of course that means s/c,headers,exhaust, the normal go fast parts. but what i haven't heard of much on this board it the internals of the engine-port and polish, bottom end work, cam shaft etc... what is your opinion on this guys? is it worth doing. should i even bother. we want this thing fast, it won't be a daily driver, but i don't want a car i have to have tuned every week i want to drive it. i understand there will be more work involved when it is modified to keep it running at peak levels, but i don't want it to consume all my free time. some of you guys are s/c w/headers and exhaust, do you have any reliability problems?? would you do things different if you could?? scalbert, are you still producing the intercoolers, cause that would be something i would want. also i see on hope systems inc that there are many applications in the making, like the intake systems and the exhaust, is this happening soon, is there a point of buying the comptech if these are going to perform better as a system??
anything you guys could give me as feedback would be great.
like i said before, we are looking to make one fast cl-s, we just don't have all the answers.

if you want to have a very fast cl, it would be in your best interest to talk to all motor or scalbert. all motor is a given, and if i recall correctly scalbert had a pretty crazy s/c setup

options for you are: 3.5MDX block with S/C + IC (SGmotoring's setup)
S/C with direct port nitrous - i forget who's setup, do a search
Turbo - allmotor's setup and blue's setup
not sure which one is quickest, but all should make some decent power. the problem is of course applying it

It's all possiable with $$. As stated talk to the guys above. Just relize it's FWD & you will be limted to the traction you will be able to get. Having a 350 whp car is useless if all you do is spin the tires. Alot of guys have had alot of sucess making power, but not much time has been spent making better ways to get that power to the ground.
